The West District RCMP, Keswick Detachment, and Crime Stoppers are asking the public to help solve a crime involving theft of firearms.

According to the RCMP website, on July 24, 2016, the Keswick RCMP receive a call regarding breaking and entering in which six handguns, 500 rounds of 9mm ammo, and four rifles were stolen from 408 Tripp Settlement Road in Keswick Ridge.

The stolen weapons consisted of two Ruger SR9 9mm pistols, a CZ 75B 9mm pistol, a Ruger SR45 pistol, a Smith and Wesson SD9VE 9mm pistol and Sig Sauer P226 9mm pistol.

The rifles stolen were a Remington 770 .270OWIN bolt action rifle with Bushnell Scope, a Midland Parker Hale 30-06 caliber bolt action rifle with 4x scope, a Cooey 16 gauge shotgun and an Escort Missone 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2000 for any and all information leading to an arrest of the person(s) responsible for the theft.
