The MDEA  and Bangor Police executed a search warrant Monday morning at an apartment on Grant Street in Bangor.

Bangor’s Special Response Team entered and secured the apartment without incident, then agents and officers conducted a thorough search, seizing eighteen grams of cocaine base (crack), over three grams of suspected heroin and more than $5,000 in cash that is believed to be proceeds from the sale of drugs. The apartment was being rented by 26-year-old Bert Overlock.

Leading up to the early morning search, MDEA agents had previously purchased cocaine base at the apartment from 18-year old Alexander Shoureas of Bangor. Shoureas was present Monday morning when police arrived. Also at the apartment at the time of the search were Overlock,  39-year old Gerald Hiland, of Bangor, and  41-year old Jorge Delapaz, of New Haven, Connecticut. All four suspects were arrested and are charged with unlawful trafficking scheduled drugs, Class B. Delapaz is on probation in Connecticut for a firearms related conviction.

Shoureas is also charged with a bail violation and his new bail is set at $50,000 cash.  Hiland and Overlocks bail is set at $10,000 cash, and the bail for Delapaz is set at $25,000 cash.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
