After quite a few months of vacancy, the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce has hired a new executive director and she's ready to hit the ground running.

Our Community Spotlight caught up with newly hired LaNiece Sirois, who is now the Executive Director of the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce.

Sirois brings about 20 years of human resources experience with her as the new skipper of the Central Aroostook Chamber and has been a director in many of the County's municipalities.

"One of the goals, for 2019, that I want to look at is helping us define our brand", Sirois said.

She is currently the president of the Northeast Society of Human Resource Managers and has been involved with workforce development and other related positions.

In an effort to play an active role in revitalizing many of the downtown areas within the chamber's reach, Sirois says that she plans to attend the Downtown Revitalization Committee meetings in Presque Isle in order to accomplish that.

Her goal is to work very closely with all of the municipalities in central Aroostook County in order to see her vision for them to come to fruition.

Sirois welcomes engagement from business, organizations, and people from the community and invites them to email her at lsiroway@centralaroostook.com.
