
34-Year-Old Man Charged with Unlawful Drug Possession in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested Sunday night and charged with Unlawful drug possession following a traffic stop in Alfred.
Pulled Over for License Plate Registration Violation
Jeffrey Hodgkins from Waterboro was initially pulled over by Deputy Alex Markellos for having license plates on his vehicle that belonged to a different registration.
K-9 Detected Narcotics in the Vehicle and Drugs Seized
The York County Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Cody Frazier and K-9 Rebel responded to the scene. Drugs were detected in the vehicle and Hodgkins was taken into custody.
Charged with Two Drug Felonies for Unlawful Possession
Hodgkins was charged with two felonies including Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine as well as Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl.
Facing a Misdemeanor Charge for License Plates
He also faces a misdemeanor charge from the District Attorney’s Office for attaching false plates to his vehicle.
Transported to County Jail and Bail Set
Hodgkins was taken to the York County Jail with bail set at $5,060. The investigation is ongoing.
