Can You Have a Crush on a Cartoon?

I took a few of my kids to the movies over the long weekend.  My daughter said something that threw me a bit and got me thinking.  The movie we were watching was animated and she said something to the effect of, “I don’t know who they based that main character on but he was hot!”  A cartoon?  Hot? Okay, I’ll bite.

I suppose she’s right, they had to base his appearance on an amalgamation of heartthrobs I’m sure.  So I started thinking about when I was a kid.  Were there any cartoons that I would consider – hot?  It’s a disturbing thought I know, but intriguing nonetheless.  The problem there is that the characters I may have had a crush on were kids, like me.  Take Ariel from The Little Mermaid for example.  She was cute, right?

As a pimple-faced pubescent I did have an affinity for Jessica in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.  I won't say why.  Okay this creepfest is getting creepier.  I’ll stop now.
