Arcade Fire have now given us a second preview of Everything Now. You can watch the video for “Creature Comfort” above.

It’s a performance-based video that appears to go for a retro-New Wave vibe, with the band wearing matching shiny suits and featuring Regine Chassagne on keytar. Shot in widescreen by director Tarik Mikou, the lyrics appear within the black bars, with frontman Win Butler’s lines at the bottom and Chassagne’s at the top.

The song is a comment on suburban teenage life, where “some boys hate themselves / Spend their lives resenting their fathers / Some girls hate their bodies / Stand in the mirror and wait for the feedback / Saying ‘God make me famous / If you can’t, just make it painless.’”

To further drive home the song’s message, the band teased it earlier this week with a 15-second fake animated commercial for a cereal consisting of marshmallows and Ritalin. It comes via the satirical Everything Now corporation, a device Arcade Fire created to disseminate information about the record. Two weeks ago, they “leaked” the track listing for Everything Now, but did so in anagram form.

Arcade Fire are currently making their way around Europe, where they’ll remain through mid-July. They will begin the North American leg of their Infinite Content tour, so named after another new song, on Sept. 5 in Quebec. It's scheduled to run through Nov. 4 with a final date in Toronto. The band will also close out this year’s Lollapalooza on Aug. 6 in Chicago’s Grant Park, a little more than a week after Everything Now arrives on July 28.
