Kylie and Kendall Jenner's line of apparel that superimposed their faces on top of classic rock and hip-hop acts was pulled just as soon as it was launched. But Arcade Fire decided the reality TV stars needed a taste of their own medicine, and began selling similar shirts of their own.

At Arcade Fire's London show on July 4, the band began selling t-shirts showing the icon for their upcoming LP Everything Now superimposed over Kylie Jenner's face. All proceeds from Arcade Fire's shirts will go to the non-profit healthcare organization Partners in Health.

The Jenners' "vintage" t-shirt line was created without consent from any of the musicians whose likenesses they used, including Tupac Shakur, the Doors, Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd and Notorious B.I.G. Sales of the shirts — at $125 a pop — were met with cease-and-desist orders and a ton of bad press. So they pulled the line, and even issued a public apology.

“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” they wrote, after hearing from the lawyers of the Doors and the estate of Biggie. “We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry.”
