A 66-year-old woman died crossing the street after she was hit by a car in Portland.
Woman Died after Being Hit by Car
The Portland Police Department said Cynthia Karst from Ridgefield, Connecticut was struck by a car while walking across the intersection at Franklin Street and Congress.
Woman Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Karst died at the scene. The crash happened around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
Police: “No charges at this time”
Portland Police said “no charges have been filed at this time.” The crash is under investigation.
