3 Firefighters Injured & 10 People Displaced after Fire in Maine
Ten people lost their homes and three firefighters were injured after a fire at an apartment building on Jewell Street in Jay.
Three Firefighters Injured and Ten People Displaced
The firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries. All of the residents in the building escaped without injury. Their dogs were also safe. Several cats were not accounted for.
Two Vehicles Burned
Two vehicles in the nearby parking lot were burned by the fire, said WGME News.
Building Completely Destroyed
The Jay Fire Department said the apartment building at 6 Jewel Street was completely destroyed. The Red Cross was assisting tenants. The fire investigation is ongoing.
