23-Year-Old Man Died & Two Injured after Rollover Crash in Maine
A 23-year-old man died and two were injured after a rollover crash early Saturday morning on the Golden Road in T3 Indian Purchase Township.
One Man Died after Crash
The Maine State Police said Benjamin Harvey from Rollinsford, New Hampshire was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two People Injured
Two other people in the vehicle were injured including 33-year-old William Tobey from Rollinsford, New Hampshire and 24-year-old Benjamin Farquhar from Millinocket.
One Person Hospitalized with Serious Injuries
Tobey was the driver and had minor injuries. Farquhar was the front passenger and had serious injuries. He was taken to Millinocket Regional Hospital.
Vehicle Hit Tree and Rolled Over
"The vehicle went off the roadway to the right, re-entered the road and then went off the road to the left striking a group of trees before rolling onto its side,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Police said Speed and Alcohol Factors
“Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash,” said Moss. It appears they were not wearing seatbelts. The crash investigation is ongoing.
