Are you an avid motorcyclist? Do you love to help a good cause? Well, what are your plans for the weekend?

Something pretty special is going to be happening right here in Aroostook County this Sunday, July 21st! The United Vets Motorcycle Club based in Houlton, will hold its annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Benefit Run!

The cool thing? All proceeds will help grant the wish of an Aroostook County child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.

The ride gets underway Sunday morning. Riders from the United Vets will be leaving the American Legion Post #47 on the Bangor Road in Houlton at 8:45am to head to Caribou for the actual start of the ride.

Registration will be at Plourde's Harley Davidson in Caribou at 10am. The ride will head out from there and end up back at the American Legion in Houlton.

Following the ride, there will be a barbeque and prize raffle. I have heard that there have been lots of nice things donated by local businesses.

It's sure to be a great ride with awesome weather! And seriously, what's better than seeing a smile on a child's face? Help out if you can!
