In January, this WWE-sanctioned championship is set to be defended for the first time in our Pine Tree State.

While WWE doesn’t have any upcoming shows scheduled for Maine, that doesn’t mean the state is lacking in pro wrestling action.

After a company-defining show in August, Limitless Wrestling is returning to The Colisée at 190 Birch Street in Lewiston, this time for their annual ‘Limitless Wrestling Rumble.’

The event—set for Friday, January 16th, 2026—will feature a match that mirrors one of the most famous stipulations in wrestling: WWE’s Royal Rumble, where 30 challengers enter and only one winner emerges as competitors battle to become the new #1 contender for the Limitless Wrestling Championship.

While the Limitless Wrestling Rumble might be the namesake of the event, there’s plenty more happening on the card.

Fans will also see a Limitless Wrestling World Championship match as “Da Big BOOFA” Dezmond Cole defends against Donovan Dijak, plus newly crowned WWE ID Women’s Champion Laynie Luck makes her debut by defending her title.

Laynie Luck won the previously vacated WWE ID Women’s Championship on November 17th, 2025, a title created as part of WWE’s new Independent Development (ID) program.

The WWE ID program launched in October 2024 to support and spotlight rising independent wrestlers through partnerships with schools and promotions across the indie circuit.

Established on February 18th, 2025, the WWE ID titles come with big stakes: if a non-ID wrestler wins the championship, they instantly earn a WWE ID contract.

That means in January in Lewiston, Laynie Luck’s challenger has the chance to walk away with both the title and a contract.
