Companies in the St. John Valley looking to expand their business are urged to attend a free informational workshop titled ‘Selling to the State of Maine.'

The workshop will be held in Madawaska Thursday, April 26.

Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) counselor Dana Delano of Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC) will explain how to find opportunities and sell to the state.

“Learning how to find solicitation for products and services needed by the many State of Maine agencies, universities and affiliates can be a bit intimidating to business owners looking to expand their market with these agencies,” said Delano. “This workshop will explore how to find opportunities that are published every day and how to read and respond with a winning bid.  I want to help make it easier for businesses to succeed in obtaining these awards.”

Maine PTAC provides a variety of government contracting technical assistance services to Maine-based businesses of all sizes. Maine PTAC services are provided at no cost.

“From cleaning services, to all types of construction, and even mowing services; state and local municipalities are a big consumer of products and services,” added Delano. “Maine PTAC assists local companies in obtaining these opportunities in order to grow their business.”.

The workshop, co-sponsored by Northern Maine Development Commission, will be from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 26 at the Madawaska Town Office, 328 St. Thomas St., Madawaska.

To register, contact Dana Delano at ddelano@nmdc.org or by calling 521-1713.
