A 28-year-old woman was arrested and charged with drug trafficking after an investigation and traffic stop in Ellsworth.

Woman Taken into Custody for Aggravated Drug Trafficking

Gabrielle Battis from Lamoine was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Violation of Conditions of Release.

Prior Charge for Unlawful Drug Trafficking

She was out of jail on a pre-conviction bail following her arrest on June 2, 2025 for Unlawful Drug Trafficking in Fentanyl.

MDEA Conducted Surveillance of Local Business for Drug Trafficking

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency had been doing surveillance at a local business and confirmed drug trafficking activity at the location.

Woman Stopped and Vehicle Searched

The Ellsworth Police Department pulled Battis over Thursday and searched her vehicle.

Police seized 10ggw of fentanyl, 2ggw of methamphetamine, 1ggw of cocaine base, 0.8ggw of cocaine HCL and $2,872 of suspected drug proceeds.

Arrested Without Incident and Booked in County Jail without Bail

Battis was taken to the Hancock County Jail and booked without bail. The investigation is ongoing.
