The first outdoor baseball game of the year in Maine took place at the Winkin Sports Complex at Husson University. In fact, the first two games got played as the Eagles and the Norwich Cadets from Vermont split a doubleheader.

GAME ONE: Senior RHP Ben Walls needed only 64 pitches to get a 3-1 complete game seven inning win. He faced just three batters over the limit. Walls allowed just three hits, a walk and struck out three.

The Husson offense managed just four hits. Conor Maguire had two of them and a RBI.

The Eagles improved to 5-4.

GAME TWO: Husson held a 2-1 lead until Norwich scored three times in 5th inning, two more in the 6th and an insurance run in the 7th to win 7-3.

Both teams banged out 11 hits.

Matt Sirois and Brandon Pedley had home runs for the Cadets.

Ryan Rebar had three hits and Christian Corneil had two for the Eagles.

Husson drops to 5-5. Norwich now 4-10.
