Two Men Wanted on Numerous Warrants Arrested in Maine
A 20-year-old man wanted for homicide and a 22-year-old man wanted for assault and other warrants were arrested Tuesday in Lewiston.
Two Wanted Men Arrested on Warrants
The Lewiston Police Department said Jeremiah Abreu from Brockton MA and Dominic Peterson, also from Brockton, were taken into custody after a coordinated traffic stop by the Lewiston PD, Marshals Service and the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office.
Wanted for Homicide
Abreu was wanted for homicide committed this past weekend. He was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail for extradition.
Suspect Refused to Identify Himself
Peterson was also in the vehicle. He refused to identify himself to law enforcement. He was in possession of a firearm.
Fingerprint Analysis
Police identified him using fingerprint analysis.
Wanted on Numerous Warrants
Peterson is wanted in Massachusetts on several warrants including Assault and Battery on a Family Member, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of Ammunition without an FID card, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License.
Additional Charges
Lewiston Police charged Peterson with Failure to Provide Corrected Name/Address/DOB, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Fugitive from Justice.
