Three people were arrested Friday after a search warrant and drugs and firearms were seized as part of an ongoing investigation in Carmel.

Drug Trafficking Investigation

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said 37-year-old Casey Corbett “was known to deputies and had active warrants for his arrest related to drug trafficking, issued by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.”

Man Arrested and Residence Searched

Corbett was located at a residence on West Court and a search warrant was executed.

Two More People Taken into Custody

Also at the residence was 37-year-old Misty Corbett who resisted arrest and 46-year-old Corey Corbett who was arrested on a warrant for Probation Revocation.

Drugs and Firearms Seized

During the search, Deputies seized over 76 grams of suspected fentanyl, 11.4 grams of meth, various pills, three handguns, and two rifles.

Man Charged

Casey Corbett was arrested on his existing warrants and faces additional charges for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

Woman Tried to Swallow Drugs at Jail

At the Penobscot County Jail, Misty Corbett was seen trying to swallow drugs and faces more charges.

Woman Faces Multiple Charges

She was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, Trafficking in Prison Contraband, Falsifying Physical Evidence, Obstructing Government Administration and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention.

Ongoing Investigation

The investigation is active and ongoing with the help of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
