
45-Year-Old Man Sentenced for Illegally Reentering U.S. in Maine
A 45-year-old man was sentenced to 10 months in prison for illegally reentering the United States after prior removal.
Pleaded Guilty
Miguel Gomez-Sanchez from Mexico pleaded guilty on June 26, 2025.
Arrested on I-95
Maine State Police Troopers arrested Gomez-Sanchez on I-95 in Augusta on May 10, 2025.
OUI Charges in Maine
He was charged with Operating Under the Influence and taken into custody.
Removed from United States Several Times
“Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) determined Gomez-Sanchez had previously been removed from the U.S. several times,” said the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Previously Convicted for Entering U.S.
Gomez-Sanchez had been removed from the Country in 2022 after he was convicted of illegally reentering the United States after prior removal, according to the DOJ.
