A Bangor man is facing charges after police recognized him from images of an alleged burglary at a French Street apartment building.

Who is the Suspect?

Tayler Cotton, 27, of Bangor was arrested earlier this week.

What Happened?

A history with police led to a Bangor man being arrested in connection with an incident on Monday. Bangor Police Sergeant Jason McAmbley tells us Tayler Cotton is a suspect in the burglary of a garage that's attached to an apartment building on French Street. A police officer who has had previous encounters with Cotton recognized him from surveillance video of the alleged incident. That video was taken by a camera attached to the apartment building. Police have not specified what was taken from the garage or whether any damage was done to the building.

What Charges Does He Face?

Police located Cotton on Monday afternoon and he was transported to the Penobscot County Jail. He's charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
