Red Sox: Moreland Put On Injured List

The injury bug has hit the Red Sox again. First baseman Mitch Moreland goes on the 10-day IL with a lower back strain.

Moreland leads the team in home runs with 13 home runs.

The move to the injured list is retroactive to Sunday.

That move, plus sending RHP Travis Lakins to the minors, means the Sox will bring up two new arms for the bullpen. RHP Colten Brewer and LHP Josh Tower get the call up from Pawtucket.
