The Boston Red Sox, trailing 4-0 erupted for 6 runs in the 3rd inning, batting around en route to a 9-4 win over the Oakland A's at Fenway Park on Monday, April 29th. The win was the Red Sox 6th out of their last 10 games.

Mookie Betts was 3-4, reaching base 4 times (once via a walk) and extended his hitting streak to 5 games and his on-base streak to 10 games. Xander Boagaerts was 3-4, with 2 doubles and 2 runs batted in. Michael Chavis was 2-4 with 3 runs batted in. He now has 8 RBIs in his 9 career games.

Eduardo Rodriguez pitched 4.2 innings allowing 4 runs, striking out 8 and walking 2. The Red Sox bullpen of Health Hembree, Colten Brewer, Brain Workman, Ryan Brasier, Hector Velazquez, and Matt Barnes held Oakland to just 1 hit in 4.1 innings. Brasier picked up the win and Barnes the save.

Boston and Oakland will play game 2 of the 3 game series Tuesday night, April 30th at Fenway with the pregame starting at 6:10 and 1st pitch at 7:10 on AM 1370 WDEA.  Rick Porcello is scheduled to start for Boston.
