The RCMP is asking for the public’s help as they investigate a hit-and-run involving two vehicles near Drummond, N.B.

Saint-Léonard RCMP responded to a report of a hit-and-run crash near Lyne's Corner Restaurant at the intersection of Route 108 and Violette Station Road at around 8:15 Tuesday morning, according to Corporal Rémi Beaulieu.

Police say a pickup truck was turning left onto Violette Station Road when it struck a white car that was stopped at the intersection. The pickup reportedly left the scene and was last seen traveling on Violette Station Road towards Drummond. Nobody was injured in the crash, Beaulieu stated.

The suspect vehicle is described as a grey pickup truck, and it may have small green stripes on the side. The truck likely has slight damage to the left side of the bed.

Anyone who witnessed this hit-and-run, or who may have information about the incident, is asked to contact the Saint-Léonard RCMP at 506-473-3137. Information can also be provided anonymously through New Brunswick Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Le 26 avril, vers 8 h 15, la police s'est rendue à l'intersection de la route 108 et du chemin Violette Station, où un délit de fuite s'était produit. Une camionnette a tourné à gauche sur le chemin Violette Station, puis a percuté une voiture blanche qui s'était immobilisée à l'intersection. Le conducteur de la camionnette ne s'est pas arrêté, et on l'a aperçu pour la dernière fois alors qu'il se dirigeait vers le DSL de Drummond par le chemin Violette Station. Personne n'a été blessé dans l'incident.

Le véhicule du suspect est une camionnette grise, et il est possible que celle-ci arbore de fines bandes vertes sur les côtés et qu'elle présente des dommages sur le côté gauche de la caisse.
