Coffeeness determined the most popular pumpkin food in each state by analyzing Google Trends data from the past 12 months, measuring search interest in more than 30 pumpkin-based foods and drinks. From classics like pumpkin pie and muffins to modern favorites like pumpkin spice lattes and savory dishes such as ravioli and curry, the results highlight which item reached peak popularity in every state for 2025.

Well, according to Coffeeness and their report, ‘The Most Popular Pumpkin Food in Every U.S. State,’ the #1 pumpkin treat in Maine is pumpkin cookies. Here’s what Coffeeness had to say about our state’s pick:

Pumpkin cookies are the most popular pumpkin treat in eight states, including Maine, New Hampshire, Arizona, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Utah.

Coffeeness continues by noting that these soft, cake-like cookies often get their tender crumb from pumpkin puree and are typically finished with cream cheese frosting or a light glaze.
