The Auburn Police Department and Maine Drug Enforcement agents arrested one man and two women earlier this morning on cocaine trafficking and possession charges. The suspects' car was stopped getting off the Maine Turnpike.

Agents arrested the trio after they uncovered cocaine worth $7500. According to a report, Beth Rodriguez, 27, of Auburn; Margoliz Julie Velázquez of  Hartford, CT, and Markevin Faucette, 39, of Lewiston were coming back from Connecticut with a new shipment of drugs, designated to be sold in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

Some of the cocaine was found hidden in a body cavity of one of the two women. Agents also searched Rodriguez's apartment where they found more drug paraphernalia. The trio is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn in lieu of $75,000 bail each.
