Once again we dive into the rock and roll vault to bring attention to a band that should have been bigger than they were.  John Sykes was pivotal to the success of the 1987 Whitesnake album.  You know the one that featured Tawny Kitaen in all the videos.  He was fired from that band, for what reason we don’t know and decided to ride the wave by starting a new power trio, Blue Murder.

Sykes also spent time in the Tigers of Pan Tang and Thin Lizzy so his rock and roll cred was firmly in place when he joined forces with The Firm’s Tony Levin on bass and legendary drummer Carmine Appice.  The result was a highly underrated self-titled album, which coincidentally has just been re-released.  I present to you one of my favorite tracks from Blue Murder.  Enjoy the video below.
