As temperatures go up, the price of gasoline continues to fall in New England.

Prices at the pump in Maine fell 3.5 cents to $2.23 a gallon on average, according to the latest survey by In Presque Isle, gas averaged $2.29 a gallon.

Elsewhere around the region, New Hampshire showed a drop of 2.7 cents a gallon to $2.19. Gas stations in Vermont saw a 4.2 cents drop to an average $2.28 a gallon.


The national average price per gallon declined 2.6 cents down to $2.25 per gallon. That's an 11.5 cents decrease per gallon during the last month and is 5.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
