New Brunswick Man Charged with Arson
A garage destroyed by fire was the result of arson.
A 29-year-old man from Petit-Paquetville was arrested and charged in connection with a fire that destroyed a storage garage in Paquetville, New Brunswick.
During the overnight hours of November 25 and 26, the Caraquet RCMP and several fire fighters responded to a garage fire on rue des Fondateurs. It is believed that the fire was deliberately set. No one was injured.
On Tuesday, November 27, a man was arrested in connection with the fire.
Wednesday, Paul Chiasson appeared in Caraquet Provincial Court and was charged with arson and breach of probation.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to return to court on December 18.
The investigation is ongoing.
