Police rescued a naked man clinging to a log in the Androscoggin River Thursday afternoon.

The Lewiston Police said the man refused to get out of the river. Crews had to put a boat in the water and physically pull him out. He was taken to a local hospital.
Why Man was in River under Investigation
Officials said it was not clear how or why he was in the river, or how long he’d been in the water, said the Sun Journal.
