Medical Examiner Concludes Maine Teacher’s Death a Suicide
An autopsy was conducted Sunday morning on the body found October 5th in North Yarmouth in a wooded area between Gray Road and Lufkin Road.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the deceased to be missing teacher Kristin Westra of North Yarmouth. The Medical Examiner concluded the manner of death was suicide.

Westra’s husband Jay realized she was missing on Monday, October 1st around 3:30 AM when he noticed she was no longer in bed. She did not return home later that day.
The Maine State Police, the Maine Warden Service and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office searched for four days. Westra’s body was found less than a mile from her home by children playing in the woods. [FULL STORY]
