A 32-year-old man was shot and seriously injured early Thursday morning after an altercation with another man in Portland.

Police Looking for Suspect in Shooting

The Portland Police Department said they were unable to locate the suspect and are looking for a man in his 20s.

Man Shot in the Leg had Serious Injuries

The injured victim was shot in the leg and sustained serious and non-life threatening  injuries.

Victim Transported to Hospital with Gunshot Wound

He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland for medical attention and treatment.

Early Morning Altercation and Shots Fired with Injury

The fight and shooting took place at 9 Dana Street around 1:03 am.

Police Looking for Suspect to Face Charges

Police described the suspect as a white male in his 20s with a scruffy beard.

Description of Man Involved in the Fight and Gunfire

He is approximately 5’5” to 5’8” tall. He was wearing a gray hoodie at the time of the shooting.
