A 48-year-old man was arrested and charged after 16 pounds of meth was seized following a months-long investigation in Waterville.
Aggravated Drug Trafficking Charges in Maine
Andrew Symonevich from Waterville was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
Meth and Illegal Firearm Seized after Warrants Executed
The Waterville Police Department said search warrants were executed and 16 pounds of meth and an illegal firearm was confiscated.

16 Pounds of Drugs with $100,000 Street Value
The street value of the drugs was approximately $100,000.
Law Enforcement Investigating the Drug Case
Multiple agencies were part of the investigation including the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Winslow Police Department and the Fairfield Police Department.
Additional Charges are Forthcoming in the Case
More charges are pending as the investigation remains open and active.

Waterville Police Chief William Bonney said “Targeting these source level traffickers is our ultimate goal, as their illicit drugs have a direct effect on our community’s safety and happiness. I am extremely proud of all of our folks whose hard work led to one of the largest illicit drug seizures in the State’s history.”
