Man Arrested after Woman Shot and Seriously Injured in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested Friday after a 46-year-old woman was shot and seriously wounded in Lewiston.
Woman had a “Serious Gunshot Wound”
The Lewiston Police Department said officers found the woman “suffering from a serious gunshot wound” on Blake Street around 2 am.
Transported to the Hospital with Injuries
She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is expected to survive.
Domestic Violence and Firearm Charges
Police arrested Sirwarrior Greene from Worcester, Massachusetts and charged him with Domestic Violence Elevated Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, Reckless Conduct with a Firearm, and Falsifying Physical Evidence.
Stolen Handgun Recovered
“Police recovered a handgun in this incident that had been previously reported as stolen. There is no threat to the public,” said LPD.
Held Without Bail
Greene was transported to the Androscoggin Jail and was held without bail.
