Man Arrested after Shooting and Critically Injuring Man in Maine
A 30-year-old man was arrested after a man was shot and critically injured in Bangor on Tuesday night.
Man Charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault
Bangor Police said Martavis Moore from Mississippi was charged with elevated aggravated assault, reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, refusal to submit to arrest, and disorderly conduct.
Man in Critical Condition after Shooting
When officers arrived at 701 Hogan Road around 9 pm, they found a man with a serious gunshot wound. He was in critical condition and taken to the hospital.
Two Men in an Altercation
Police believe the shooting happened after an altercation between Moore and the victim. Moore pulled out a gun and shot the man, said WGME News.
Gun and Rifle Seized after Arrest at Motel
Moore was apprehended around 4 am Wednesday at a motel on Hogan Road. Police found the handgun used in the shooting in the motel room. A rifle was also seized.
Transported to Jail
Moore was taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
