The speaker spent the morning participating in a roundtable forum on aging at the Gathering Place Senior Center, continuing a statewide effort to build support for KeepME Home proposals.

The KeepME Home plan would create affordable housing for seniors in each of Maine’s 16 counties through a $65 million housing bond, boost pay for in-home care workers who have not had a raise in nearly a decade, and expand property tax credits for seniors.

Listen to our discussion with the Speaker about KeepME Home and his goals for the next session of the Maine legislature:

Mark Eves is a Democrat in his third term in the Maine House of Representatives, representing North Berwick in York County.
