
Logging Truck Stuck on Power Lines in Maine
A tractor-trailer was stuck in the power lines Monday, blocking traffic for several hours on Route 11 in Masardis.
Troopers Were Were on the Scene Shortly After Incident Happened
The Maine State Police responded to the scene around 9:02 am.
Tractor-Trailer was Crossing Intersection with Overfilled Load
Troopers “determined that the driver had just received a load of wood from the mill in Masardis and attempted to cross an intersection at the mill with an overfilled load,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Truck’s Boom and Logs Were Stuck in the Power Lines
The tractor-trailer truck’s boom and the load of logs got stuck in the power lines.

Northbound Traffic Blocked for Many Hours
The northbound traffic lane on Route 11 was blocked for several hours.
Several Agencies Assisted the Maine State Police on the Scene
Multiple agencies assisted Maine State Police including the Ashland Police Department, the Masardis Fire Department, the Maine Forest Service, Ashland EMS and Versant Power.
