L.L. Bean Adds to Northern Lights Celebration Event in Freeport, Maine

It's about that time of the year again when L.L. Bean's flagship store in Freeport, Maine, goes into celebration mode. Specifically, their Northern Lights celebration.

For 2025, L.L. Bean's Northern Lights kicks off on Friday, November 21 and lasts all the way through Christmas Eve.

If you plan on visiting this year, the celebration will feel a little differently.

Renovations are ongoing for L.L. Bean's flagship store and the company is using their massive outdoor tent to their advantage by adding something new to the Northern Lights celebration.

L.L. Bean Will Debut The Winter Spectacular Light Show in 2025

If you make a visit to Northern Lights this season, be sure to give yourself some extra time to enjoy a new show.

L.L. Bean is debuting the 'Winter Spectacular', a projection show that will make both parents and kids believe that magic really exists. The show will repeat every 30 minutes as part of Northern Lights.

There Will Be Lots To Do At L.L. Bean's Northern Lights Celebration This Year

There will be several returning attractions for Northern Lights in 2025. Those include Santa's Cabin and the big red mailbox, giving kids a chance to mail their letters to Santa.

There will also be lots of different photo ops that are festive and themed around enjoying the holidays as well as winter.

In addition to those everyday attractions, there's a handful of recurring special events as part of Northern Lights. Some of the highlights include a chance to meet Santa Claus every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during select hours.

On Thursdays, L.L. Bean will have live music and food trucks enter into the celebration.
