If you're anything like me, you probably had to rearrange some furniture to create a space for your Christmas tree to fit. And due to the storm pre-Christmas storm Mother Nature gave us as a gift this year, you may have even put the tree up a little later than usual. (Before you start to yell at me for not having a real tree...I have cats and kids...anything real that I bring into the house doesn't stand a chance. So we made the switch a few years ago for sanity's sake. The needles just wouldn't stay on the tree--so take your judgment elsewhere!)

There's also the fact that it takes quite a bit of time to put all the decorations up and make sure the tree looks "just so". It's almost a shame to undo all that effort when Christmas has come and gone.

By the same token, I'm all about the easiest way to clean up after the holidays! When the holiday is over, I want that stuff packed up in as little time as possible, so I can move on with life, and make room for all the other stuff that I've shoved into the back closet when I was making room for the decorations.

A few years back I came across a Facebook meme of a saran-wrapped tree that just said "Done." and the lightbulb went off!

I figured not only would it be an easy take-down, but one less time-consuming thing to do during the next holiday season because it would be exactly as I left it, decorations and all when I unwrapped it the next year.

All you need is the one very useful item I'm sure almost everyone has in their kitchen: plastic wrap.

All you have to do is go around in circles with it, and literally "wrap" your tree back up. Once done, the ornaments stay right where they are, and all you need is to find a spot for your tree to hang out till next Christmas comes.

And so another holiday tradition in my house was created.

Give it a try...and you'll thank me later!
