Guitarist From Maine Nick Curran Dies at Age 35!

Nick Curran was a member of the legendary Texas band the Fabulous Thunderbirds
from 2004 to 2007, appeared in HBO's "True Blood," and most recently was a member of the Texas-based bands the Lowlifes and the Flash Boys.  Curran died Saturday after a three year battle with oral cancer.  He was only 35.

Raised in Sanford, Maine, Curran paid his dues playing in Portland bars.  In 1999 the singer and guitarist released his own solo album, "Fixin' Your Head," before moving to Texas where he would eventually find an audience nationwide.
