When it comes to tires nothing drives me more crazy than the constantly illuminated low tire pressure warning light. Not to mention changing a flat due to running over something in the road isn't fun either. So, I don't know about you but I am pretty excited about General Motors teaming up with Michelin to create flat-proof airless tires that may be able to be deployed in the not too distant future

A few of the benefits of the new tire:

  • Car drivers feel safe and secure on the road since the dangers of flat tires and blowouts are eliminated.
  • Fleet owners and professional vehicle drivers optimize their business productivity (no downtime from flats, near-zero levels of maintenance).
  • Raw material is reduced, which in turn reduces waste.
