Gas Prices Continue to Go Down
Some good news for motorists. Prices at the pump continue to head downward.
According to the latest report from GasBuddy.com, gas prices in the Pine Tree State dropped by 1.4 cents a gallon in the past week to an average $2.79 a gallon. Prices at most stations in Presque Isle, as of Tuesday afternoon, were at $2.89 a gallon.
New Hampshire saw a slight drop to an average $2.73 a gallon while Vermont's prices fell 1.4 cents a gallon to $2.78.
Nationally, the price of gas fell 2.1 cents to an average of $2.84 a gallon. That's 8.1 cents lower than last year at this time, but just 0.6 cents a gallon lower than a month ago.
