
Fourth of July in Bangor, Maine, Will Be Full of Family-Friendly Activities
Organizers are gearing up for the 2025 Fourth of July festivities in Bangor and Brewer.
The day will include a 3K road race, a parade, a concert, and fireworks.
Here's a quick look on what you can expect to see in the Bangor-Brewer area on July 4, 2025.
Walter Hunt 4th of July 3K Road Race in Bangor
The 44th Annual Walter Hunt 4th of July 3K Road Race begins at 9:45 a.m., 15 minutes before the start of the 4th of July Parade.
Organizers of the race, which runs along the parade route, call the event "Maine's Fastest Road Race!"
Online Registration is open through June 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., and there is a $15 registration fee. Race day registration will be $25 for individuals and $75 for teams.
4th of July Parade in Bangor 2025
The parade begins at 10 a.m.
It will line up on Acme Road in Brewer and turn onto Wilson Street to begin. It will continue onto Main Street in Bangor, and end on Exhange Street.
Following the parade, food trucks will be serving customers on the waterfront beginning at 1 p.m.
Chords For Cure Concert in Bangor
The Chords For Cure Concert begins at 5:30 p.m. on the Bangor Waterfront promenade near the corner of Railroad and Front Streets.
The event raises money for local children who are battling cancer.
Organizers say that during the concert, which is free to attend, there will be a bucket collection to "raise funds for Maine children through the Pediatric Center in Brewer."

The first band of the evening will be Marionette. Organizers call the group "Aroostook County's Premier Party Band" and say the band will play "high-energy rock and pop hits."
The Stone Doctors, a Rolling Stones tribute band, will take the stage at 7:15 p.m. The bands says on its Facebook page that it "dedicates its resources and efforts to charity only events."
Fireworks
The fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.
It will take place on the Bangor Waterfront.
Bangor4th.com says, "Fireworks are being lit from a central location and can be viewed as far as Brewer."
