And the recalls keep coming. The latest today is by Ford. Almost 2 million of its popular F-150 pickup trucks due to a transmission flaw that could cause the trucks to downshift to first gear with no warning potentially causing a crash.

Ford is alerting owners of trucks made between 2011 and 2013 with six-speed automatic transmission shift issues of the potential issue. The sudden downshift in the gears could cause owners to lose control of their vehicle. To date, Ford is aware of five accidents related to the issue. Dealers will update the powertrain control software.

Ford is also issuing a recall for almost 30,000 2017-19 Lincoln Continentals for door latches that may not engage due to the buildup of silicon contamination and could result in the door opening while driving.
