Family Physician Returns to Presque Isle Health Center
Pines Health Services is thrilled to announce the return of Family Medicine physician, Dr. Hans Duvefelt, who brings decades of patient care experience to the Pines team.
Dr. Duvefelt completed his Family Practice Residency Program in Central Maine, providing him with excellent training and experience for serving the residents of Aroostook County.
Dr. Duvefelt will be seeing patients Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Pines Presque Isle Health Center. Family Medicine patients are also seen at Pines’ Health Centers in Van Buren, Presque Isle, Washburn, Fort Fairfield and Caribou. Appointments can be made at the Presque Isle Health Center by calling 769-2025.
Dr. Duvefelt achieved his MD Degree at Uppsala University in Sweden, was first Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1984, and is currently preparing for recertification, as well as being NCQA Certified in Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Maine Medical Association, and the New Brunswick Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Duvefelt currently serves as Medical Director at Bucksport Regional Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, much like Pines.
In his spare time Dr. Duvefelt enjoys spending time with his Arabian rescue horses and miniature goats and is currently working on a book about rural doctoring.
