An attempt to serve a warrant in Millinocket resulted in police seizing multiple guns from the home of a felon.

The Suspect Was Arrested at His Millinocket Home

Brennen Waite, 49, of Millinocket was arrested at his home on February 12, 2024, on two active warrants.

Police Say Waite Was Allegedly Intoxicated, In Violation of His Bail

East Millinocket Police originally went to Waite's home to take him into custody on the outstanding warrants. After speaking with Waite and allegedly observing that he was under the influence of alcohol, which is a violation of his bail conditions, Waite was taken into custody on the warrants. He was also charged with violating his bail conditions and was transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Many Firearms and Ammo Were Found in the Millinocket Residence

While Waite was being taken into custody, police officers noticed a firearm in the home and ran a check on the suspect's background. When Officer Clayton learned that Waite had a previous felony conviction, he obtained a search warrant for the house. The next day, members of the East Millinocket Police Department searched the residence and seized multiple firearms and ammunition. With a felony on his record, Waite is not allowed to have guns or ammo.

 

He now faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
