Driver Escapes Logging Truck Rollover in Penobscot County
The driver of a logging truck escaped serious injury after he flipped his truck Monday in northern Penobscot County, sending logs crashing through the cab.
Maine State Police say the driver hit a frost heave and lost control of the rig on Route 188 in Lowell, just below Lincoln.
The tractor trailer rolled onto its side, spilling logs onto the roadway. Some of the logs shot through into the cab, narrowly missing the driver, according to State Police.
Fortunately, the driver suffered only minor injuries. The truck sustained significant damage.
