
Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy Teases Possible Run for NYC Mayor
The Massachusetts native has floated the idea of running for mayor of the most populous city in the country.

Dave Portnoy said during an appearance on Fox News that he would “love to run against” New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Portnoy said he himself has done “a lot of good” in New York City and referenced past comments about potentially moving Barstool’s office because of his opposition to Mamdani.

During the appearance, Portnoy discussed New York City politics and the Democratic Party while also criticizing Mamdani and his economic proposals.
Portnoy said he may consider a run for mayor himself, telling interviewers it would depend on the circumstances while leaving open the possibility that he could challenge Mamdani.
