Maine Slayed by Dan + Shay
If you went into 'The Heartbreak on The Map' tour to be energized and entertained, then your price of admission delivered. Dylan Marlowe, Jake Owen, and headliners Dan + Shay kept the crowd dancing and singing along all night long.
Maine Pre-Party with Q106.5
Like every country show, Q106.5 and Townsquare Media with Urban Pizza hosted a pre-party across the street from Maine Savings Amphitheater. Things kickoff two hours before the beginning of each and every country show.
For this show, listeners were encouraged to come and say hi and show that they have the Q106.5 app downloaded to their phone. By doing so, each individual received one submission into a raffle for tickets to attend Post Malone at Maine Savings Amphitheater on September 16th. A similar opportunity will be offered prior to the Kenny Chesney show on Thursday, August 15th.
Dylan Marlowe Opened the 'Heartbreak on a Map' tour in Maine
Dylan Marlowe had a sizeable crowd to arrive early for the evening to catch his opening set. Despite a self-admitted flailing voice, which nobody seemed to mind nor noticed, Marlowe earned several new fans in Maine. His country and early 2000's punk rock vibe resonated well throughout the growing, curious crowd, and he closed with his hit single "Boys Back Home."
Jake Owen Sang Hit After Hit in Maine Before Dan + Shay
The biggest take away, aside from the Florida party that only Owen can bring to Maine, was how many hit songs Jake has created throughout his career. From "Down to the Honkeytonk" to "Beachin" and "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," Jake Owen was so much pure fun in Bangor.
Mumblings were heard of, "he could've headlined." Owen certainly could have and has headlined many shows. Many in the audience were left satisfied with the show so far after Jake Owen. Some may have considered leaving early, until they heard the vocals belted out by Shay Mooney.
Dan + Shay Showed Maine That They Are the Kings of Pop Country
Taking the reins from Rascal Flatts and running with them, Dan + Shay have put out five incredible studio albums over the past decade filled with hits that they shared with Mainers on Sunday night. After playing a few newer, less popular songs, and applauding on how impressive the Maine Savings Amphitheater has become, Dan + Shay launched into their vast array of radio singles that everyone could sing along to.
The next country show at Maine Savings Amphitheater will be Kenny Chesney with Megan Maroney on Thursday, August 15th, 2024. See the remaining shows for the season occurring along the Bangor waterfront below.
