Charlie Kelly, the man who loves magnets and milksteak and knows a thing or two about bird law, made a recent trek to Massachusetts for a bartending gig.

Or, at least the actor who portrays him on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," did.

Charlie Day, star of the FXX comedy series that has run for 17 seasons and 20 years, hit up some bars in Boston to promote his Four Walls Irish American Whiskey.

According to Boston.com, Day made his way to Beantown from September 25 to 27, pouring shots, signing bottles and purses, and even singing a little at The 88 Club.

What Bars Did Charlie Day Visit in Boston, Massachusetts?

Boston has a vibrant nightlife and a ton of bar options to choose from. Day visited some of them to enthusiastic fanfare.

You can see a number of social media posts shared at some of the bars below. Have you been to some of these spots?

Flight Club at 60 Seaport Boulevard, Suite 215, in Boston, Massachusetts

According to its website, Flight Club is "an upscale entertainment concept combining elevated food and beverage menus with dynamic tech-enabled" dart games.

Day even joked that one of the Flight Club employees was doing the "Charlie Work" when handing him a huge tray of shots to pass out to people.

The Lansdowne Pub at 9 Lansdowne Street in Boston, Massachusetts

The Landsowne website states that the pub offers up "amazing traditional Irish fare, a pint of cold beer, and the type of atmosphere that will keep you coming back."

Day showed up to this spot wearing his Four Walls hat and Red Sox jersey with his name on the back, taking multiple selfies and signing everything from purses to stuffed animals.

The 88 Club at 50 Dalton Street in Boston, Massachusetts

The 88 Club website notes that it is "Boston's premier piano bar destination."

Day took full advantage, even belting out some songs from "It's Always Sunny" with plenty of people singing along. Oh, and confetti cannons really elevated everything, of course.

Back Bay Social at 867 Boylston Street in Boston, Massachusetts

According to its website, Back Bay Social is "a vibrant neighborhood restaurant that prides itself on providing top-notch hospitality in a comfortable and lively atmosphere."

Once again, there were shots, selfies, and smiles with Day behind the bar serving up drinks.

Lucky's Lounge at 355 Congress Street in Boston, Massachusetts

Lucky's Lounge's website states that it is the "Seaport District after-work rendezvous, retro supper club, late-night speakeasy and all around homage to Sinatra."

How many drinks do you think Day did during his visit to the local hot-spot? Or even during his whole trip for that matter?

Bottoms up for sure.

A video of Day's Boston visit shared on Four Walls Whiskey's Facebook page also highlighted Biddy Early's Pub at 141 Pearl Street and Cheers Boston at 84 Beacon Street in Boston, Massachusetts, as stops on his excursion.

Talk about a whirlwind weekend.

Boston.com also noted that The Rooftop at the Envoy at 70 Sleeper Street, Coquette at 450 Summer Street, and Willow & Ivy at the Lenox Hotel at 65 Exeter Street were three other stops Day made, but I couldn't find any social media posts highlighting his visits there.

For Boston fans, whiskey fans, and "It's Always Sunny" fans, Day's visit definitely left a mark of fun and excitement. The actor certainly gave the city a taste of Paddy’s Pub energy, all without having to fly to Philadelphia.

Now, off to go find a door marked "Pirate."
