Police say a 79-year-old woman from Hay Settlement, New Brunswick lost control of her car, which crossed the center line and collided with a pickup truck shortly before 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

The Woodstock Fire Department,  RCMP and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the crash just below Woodstock First Nation and about 100 yards from the Hodgdon Road intersection.

Woodstock Fire chief Ricky Nicholson says the three men in the truck were transported to Upper River Valley Hospital with undetermined injuries, but they were not considered life-threatening.

The victim's name is not being released at this time to allow for proper notification of her family.

Nicholson said the road was snow-packed in some areas, and strong winds were also blowing snow from the frozen river across the roadway.  Route 165 was closed for about 2 hours Thursday afternoon.
