Body Found in Bog Identified by Police in Maine
Police have identified the human remains found in Lewiston in January 2025.
Body Found in Bog
Officials said the body of 68-year-old Michael Roberts from Lewiston was located in the Garcelon Bog on Russell Street.
Last Seen in 2019
Roberts was last seen leaving a residence on Bartlett Street and was reported missing in November 2019.
Death Not Considered Suspicious
The Maine State Police said his “death is not considered suspicious.”
Body Recovered for Identification
The State Police Major Crimes helped recover his body for identification. DNA analysis was done at the State Police Crime Laboratory.
